Capturing Moments Authentic-ally

At Who Matters Media, our mission is to celebrate diversity, connection and representation through the art of photography. Our commitment to these three core values enables us to draw inspiration from and connect with various audiences in St. Louis and beyond.

We strive to create an atmosphere where every client feels valued and heard. Our unique approach focuses on capturing special moments in relationships that might sometimes be overlooked. Whether that's relationships between minorities, the LGBTQIA+ community, people with physical disabilities, people on the spectrum or familial relationships that often go undocumented in adulthood, we have the tools to produce gorgeous images that you will cherish forever. Through our in-depth discovery sessions, we get to the heart of who our clients really are, what is most important about their relationships and how to best capture that on film.

Through our lens, we aim to create timeless memories that reflect the true essence and beauty of every connection and occasion. Through our art, we aim to uplift, inspire, and make a positive impact within our local and broader communities.

Get to Know Us

Who Matters Media was founded in 2025 by life partners Micah Lewis (he/him) and Jessica Nicole (they/them). They reside in the Dutchtown neighborhood of STL w/ their two geriatric pets, Quake and Buster.

As the lead photographer, Micah brings 12 years of experience behind the camera working on campaigns, traditional productions, and advertising. He has been freelancing in NYC, Chicago, LA, Portland, Houston, and STL for over a decade. Micah has affinity for medium format and 35mm film photography as well as a passion for moving images.

As the creative director and lead of client services, Jessica's passion is working w/ others and promoting diversity and inclusion. Jessica enjoys digging deep with our clients and understanding exactly how they see themselves and want to be represented on film. As a neurodivergent, Black, non-binary individual, Jessica understands the nuances of identity and seeks to ensure everyone feels seen and represented accordingly.
